Lots happening!

It's been a busy year with few blog posts.  The photo above is from
a winter time exhibition of the Threads that Bind Exhibition at
West Liberty University.  Keith and Chris are considering the
proper way to handle the artwork:).

Keith and I have just updated our website:
www.studio-twofourteen.com
Nancy Sowders was the webmaster.  Check it out.

We also are currently juggling four new exhibitions.
A juried show at The Foundry Art Centre in St. Charles, MO
An exhibition at the Merging Hearts Holistic Center in
Canton, OH.  41 pieces of work.
Focus Fiber 2014, a contemporary fiber art exhibition in
Erie, PA, and
An open studio Sept 6th at our space in Alliance.

Another view of the West Liberty gallery.
Many thanks to friends Robert and Chris Villamagna.

Finally, I spent a good part of the summer designing and
building costumes for the first production of Shakespeare at the Castle.
This is the brain child of Kevin and Natalie Kern.
The production, A Midsummer Night's Dream, was a marvel.
Pictured here are Gary Lamb and Sarah Yannie as Oberon and Puck.

Threads that Bind Exhibition at West Liberty University

Turn, Turn, Turn by Priscilla.  This piece was not included in the first TTB exhibition.
Completed in 2011, it went well with the other work.
The show included works by Kate McMahon, Keith McMahon, Clare Murray Adams,
Ken Arthur, Carole Swope, Betsy Timmer and Priscilla Roggenkamp.

Robert and WLU have a great space for art.

Betsy Timmer's Braided Rug Dress again graced the gallery.  Behind it is
the Zipper piece created by Carole Swope and Priscilla.
New to the exhibition were additional woven pieces by Kate McMahon and
a series of works by Clare Murray Adams.

The 'Flip Side' Prints

Keith and I are in an exhibition called the Flip Side.  It is curated by good friend, Ken Arthur, and features 8 artists for 8 days at Ashland U's Coburn Gallery.  It opens Feb 14 at 6:00.

These are Priscilla's print blocks.  Look for Keith's on the next post.
